Early voting starts today in Tennessee for the Nov. 6 presidential election. Election officials are reminding voters to adhere to a new state law and have government-issued photo identification when they arrive at the polls. Thirty-two states allow their residents to vote early, but not Alabama. Alabamians will have to wait three weeks until Election Day to vote for the President.
The Huntsville Times reports that a man injured at Building 5400 Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center Tuesday morning was acting “within the normal scope of operations,” when the blast occurred, according to preliminary reports from Redstone Arsenal. The explosion occurred around 8 AM. Officials said the man’s injuries are not life-threatening. The Dynetics employee was handling a “small” device in his work area when it detonated. Safety personnel responded and the man was transported by ambulance to Huntsville Hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
