Date:

Thursday, July 11, 2019

Description:

The Oneness Committee, next project, July 11, at 6 PM at Center Grove United Methodist Church. Through song and spoken word recognizing those who lived on the land that is now Redstone Arsenal. This project is Phase II-Part III of the Evolution of African-American (Black) Gospel Music in Huntsville. We have individuals that will share stories about the music experience in Huntsville-Madison County from 1900-1960. Our featured presenter and musical performers are from New Orleans, Dr. Hezekiah Brinson, Jr., and his group 7 AM. Hezekiah will speak on the growth of Black Gospel music from a national perspective. To hear the history of Black gospel music from the time period of 1900-1960 from a local and national perspective should be very interesting. Info. at 256-604-8172 and http://www.tvjs.webs.com
