Experiencing Bird Migration in the Backyard

Date:

Tuesday, March 19, 2019

Description:

The Tennessee Valley Audubon Society Meeting will be March 19, at 6:30 PM, in the Huntsville Public Library Auditorium. Each Spring and Fall, for a two to three week period, thousands of migrating songbirds fly over the Tennessee Valley nightly on their epic journey between their nesting areas in the northern parts of North America and wintering areas in the tropics. This presentation includes proven techniques of garden design for creating a backyard bird-friendly habitat. Speaker Herb Lewis' simple ideas and principles have brought over 90 bird species to his Huntsville backyard since 2004. He will share personal photos of many migrating birds attracted to his backyard wildlife habitat environment.
