The Experimental Aircraft Association’s immaculate 1929 Ford Tri-Motor is touring the country and visiting Madison Executive Airport Friday May 23 through Memorial Day. Flights begin at 9 and end at 4 PM daily. You have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the magic of flight in the world’s first mass-produced airliner, and experience first-hand the early days of air travel in an aircraft that made aviation history.
The Ford Tri-Motor flew the first scheduled passenger flight, as well as the first scheduled air freight flight. All major airlines began with a Tri-Motor. Only 199 were built and only 1-3 airplanes remain airworthy. All proceeds go to support the local EAA Chapter and its mission to introduce youth to the magic of flight.
