The Huntsville Traditional Music Association is pleased to present the Walker Street Opry for the June 26 music on the mountain coffeehouse. Walker Street Opry was formed in 2002 on a front porch on Walker Street (now Walker Ave.) in downtown Huntsville. Since then, Walker Street Opry has been a frontrunner of the bluegrass scene in Northern Alabama, featuring both traditional and contemporary bluegrass music as well as Americana roots-style music. Walker Street Opry is composed of Rick Taylor (lead vocals), Blaine Anderson (guitar), Phil Easterbrook (banjo, Dobro), Tony Robertson (mandolin) and Joseph Brown (upright bass). The music on the mountain begins at 7:00 Thursday evening in the old church at Burritt museum. See www.WalkerStreetOpry.com and Huntsville.org for more info.
