Lewis Hine took photographs in Huntsville during 1910 & 1913 for the National Child Labor Council. He was a passionate advocate for child labor reform. A program by the Huntsville Madison County Public Library and David Lilly explores the photographs taken by Lewis Hine in Huntsville during 1910 & 1913 for the National Child Labor Council. The presentation will explore Hine’s career as a passionate advocate for child labor reform and will also examine what we know about the young people who were photographed by Hine at Merrimack and Dallas Mills.
