Thursday, October 19, 2017

Description:

Casting the Bones: Forensic Anthropology and the Quest to Unearth the Secrets of Human Remains October 19. 7 p.m. Salmon Library Room 111. UAH Campus. What can we learn from unknown skeletal remains? It's the perfect question to ask Mary Davis, Research Associate with the Forensic Anthropology Center at University of Tennessee-Knoxville, home to the well-known Body Farm research facility. Mary will visit with us to discuss forensic anthropology, pathological conditions that affect the skeleton, and more. This event is open to all. Halloween treats will be provided. For more information, contact Annie Matthys at annie.matthys@uah.edu or by phone at 256-824-6130. NOTE: For Guests parking on the UAH Campus, there are visitor spots in the Salmon Library Parking Lot, on the side closest to the Salmon Library itself. Please fill those up first.
