The Round Table’s holding its first annual symposium: The West – The Beginning of the End. Jointly sponsored by the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library, the symposium will be held at the library’s main facility at 915 Monroe Street SW, Huntsville, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM on November 2. A full slate of featured speakers is to run throughout the day, featuring Thomas Flagel, Eric Jacobson, Peggy Ann Towns, Pete Sparks, and Greg Biggs, and a panel discussion with Q&A to close the day out. There will be re-enactors in period uniforms and dress all around the library. These will include Rhea Cole, Winter Forests portraying General Ormsby Mitchel, members of the 19th Alabama Infantry, and likely some others mingling around the library.
