How Does Huntsville's New Public Transit Plan Affect Riders?

Thursday, August 8, 2019

The biggest changes ever to happen to Huntsville's public transportation system rolled out July 1, 2019. A five-phase plan created with shuttle rider feedback will implement improvements to the bus system over the next five years. That includes shortening ride times, adding Saturday service and extending weekday hours of operation. WLRH's Katy Ganaway takes listeners on a bus ride to hear from the residents who rely on public transit to get around the city. This story will also be featured in the 8-8-2019 episode of The Public Radio Hour.
