Local Author Shares the Story of History-Making Horse

Tuesday, May 14, 2019

In 1919, Sir Barton was the first horse to win all three races in what is now known as the Triple Crown. Jennifer Kelly, a former English instructor at UAH, is the first author to write a book solely about the champion racehorse. She explains how she became involved in this project, Sir Barton and the Making of the Triple Crown, and why she thinks we need to hear this horse’s story. Sir Barton and the Making of the Triple Crown is published by the University of Kentucky Press. More information is at www.thesirbartonproject.com.
