Randolph School Offers Seminar on Parenting in the Digital Age

Randolph School will host a free seminar Thursday November 16th with Vanderbilt psychology professor Dr. Georgene Troseth. She will discuss the role of parents in the Screen Age. She will be answering questions such as, "What types of technology promote learning?" and "Do babies learn from digital media?". Laurel Shockley, assistant head of Randolph’s lower school and Vanessa Robinson, a guidance counselor at the school spoke with Ginny Kennedy about Dr. Troseth’s presentation and the challenges facing educators and parents in the digital age. The seminar will be held at 6:30 in the lecture hall on Randolph’s Garth Road campus. More information is at
