The Arts Underground "Music for the Ancestors" (April 2, 2016)

Kristy Jane From-Brown is our featured Out Loud Poet today, as we remember the generations before us with music from ancestral traditions, especially with regard to reverence for the ancestors found in various ancient religions of the world. We'll hear pieces by Hector Angulo, Toumani Diabate, Igor Stravinsky and Jimi Hendrix. Thanks to Bobby Milk for producing the Out Loud Poets today, and thanks to Kimberly Casey for inspiring them, wrangling them, and for her reverent attitude towards creating new traditions in poetry.
