Brass, Reeds, and Percussion (May 12, 2018)

Luxembourg’s Army has about 800 members, supported by about 100 civil servants. It has no air force or navy. Sixty of the 800 members of the Luxembourg Army are professional musicians who comprise the Grand Duke’s Military Band. The ruling monarch of Luxembourg is Grand Duke Henri. As might be expected, the band performs at state occasions and for the changing of the guard of the grand duke’s palace. But they have also made a great recording. Today's edition of Brass, Reeds, and Percussion features a number of performances by the Grand Duke’s Military Band.
