FRI Pianist Emanuel Ax at Trinity United Methodist Church, downtown Huntsville. Presented by the Huntsville Chamber Music Guild. A rare chance to see a world-famous musician. Concert begins 7:30pm. 
FRI Inaugural UAH Hockey Tailgate outside Propst Arena, von Braun Center. First 100 students get a free taco or cupcake. Food vendors, live music, prizes and meet the players. Open to the public. 5:30-6:45pm. No parking or admission fees for UAH fans. Game vs. N Michigan begins 7pm.

FRI (local music) Flux Capacitor Overdrive, The Soft revenge and Johnny and the Black Frames at The Copper Top, Huntsville.
FRI (local music) Songwriters Series feat. Bill Whyte, Lisa schaffer, Steve Dean and Debbie Bond at von Braun Center Playhouse. 6:30pm.
SAT Asha Kiran Community Kite Festival at John Hunt Park, Huntsville. More than 60 non-profit groups, food vendors, children's activites, kite decorating station and giant octopus kite display. Open to the public. 11am-3pm.
SAT Mensa Kid's Trek Young Inventors Day at Huntsville Public Library auditorium. Young inventors and their adult partners present their ideas and inventions. For all ages and open to the public. 2-4pm.
SAT LIT (Light+Innovation+Technology) at Central Bank/Huntsville Times building, downtown square Huntsville. UAH students and local artists have produced a unique light show. Open to the public. Runs 7-10pm.
SAT (local music) Southern Withdrawl, Johnny Bad Touch, the Divine Shakes, The Nowhere Squares at The Copper Top, Huntsville.
SAT (local music) Toy Shop at Voodoo Lounge in downtown Huntsville.
ONGOING "This is Rocket City USA-Let Freedom Ring" exhibit at Burritt on the Mountain. Traces event in Huntsville from 1950 to 1980 and documents the city's transition through the Civil Right era. Runs through April 17th.
ONGOING "Raise The Roof-An Exhibit About Buildings" opens at the US Space and Rocket Center. This architectural adventure explores how a building’s engineering, physics and history affect our everyday lives. Opens Saturday 9am and runs through May 26th.
