First Take with Science Friday

WLRH is excited to welcome back Ira Flatow to the Rocket City for First Take with Science Friday!

Every week, Science Friday brings today’s most innovative and exciting scientists to public radio airwaves. Brought to Huntsville in conjunction with the celebration of the Lunar Landing’s 50th Anniversary, First Take with Science Friday will bring those same stimulating science stories LIVE to the US Space and Rocket Center’s Nat Geo Theatre on May 21st, 2019 at 7pm.  Host, Ira Flatow will discuss 'preserving space history' with Reagan Grimsley , Head of Special Collections and Archives at UAH, and Rocket Center Curator, Ed Stewart. He will also discuss ‘space future', with SLS engineers Erika Alvarez and John Blevins of Marshall Space Flight center. Audience members will also enjoy an audio slideshow about an archaeologist documenting old NASA launch facilities, and there will also be time for an audience Q&A with Ira.

The events will be recorded for broadcast on future episodes of Science Friday.

A huge thanks to our show sponsors- Redstone Federal Credit Union and the US Space and Rocket Center!
