Interested in being a part of Alabama’s first public radio station? WLRH 89.3 FM/HD in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a part-time Radio Fine Arts Producer.  Are you a creative thinker? This position is responsible for assisting in production of our fine arts radio programming- primarily classic and classical music. Duties include maintaining the cataloging system for music recordings, producing & hosting local classical music & fine arts programs, and coordinating interviews and special features. You’ll also participate in fund-raising activities and community outreach, including fund drives, open houses, and station events.

Requirements for this position include 3 years’ experience as a musician or performing artist. At the time of the employment interview, an onsite audition may be required. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Experience at a public radio station is desirable.  Good computer skills are essential. Some nights and weekend work may be required.

WLRH is Alabama's first public radio station with deep ties to arts and culture in North Alabama and the Tennessee Valley. We cover a service area roughly 60 miles in all directions from our transmitter on Monte Sano Mountain, including north central Alabama and south central Tennessee.  Our main signal offers a mix of music, news, and variety programs offered by National Public Radio, American Public Media, Public Radio International, and more. WLRH also broadcasts three HD channelsHD1 is a digital version of the main WLRH signal. HD2 is a 24-hour classical music service. HD3 provides the most diverse news and talk programming in Alabama.
