Serge Diaghilev had a tall order...and the art world thrived on it! The Ballets Russes featured wonderful shows with music by composers such as Chopin, de Falla, and Poulenc...amazing dancers and choreographers...brilliantly executed sets and costumes...and its own special quality. It was an amazing twenty years of pure art and magic. Many thanks to bassoonist Hunter Thomas of the HSO, for the idea for today's show!
