UAH Webinar w/ Dr. Cynthia A. Young

The College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at UAH will host Dr. Cynthia A. Young (Associate Professor of African American Studies, English, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Pennsylvania State University) for a webinar titled, "COINTELPRO, the Black Panther Party, and the NYPD’s War on Muslims." The webinar will take place on ZOOM on Wednesday, March 10, at 6:30 p.m. This event is part of the “Diverse Voices in the Humanities” Speakers Series, which promotes the work of humanities scholars from underrepresented demographics, especially when they can speak directly to contemporary issues and events. It is organized by the Departments of English, History, and Philosophy and funded by the UAH Humanities Center and the Distinguished Speaker Series.
