Dr. Stephen Taylor, a Birmingham-based psychiatrist who serves as Director of Behavioral Care at Pathway Healthcare, as well as Medical Director of the NBA’s Player Assistance Program, will be our keynote speaker. We will also hear from community members whose lives have been changed forever by mental illness and addiction. Proceeds will support WellStone Emergency Services and the new crisis intervention building under construction on South Parkway near Martin Road. A big focus will be on putting these topics front-and-center while also working collectively to support each other, eliminate stigma and serve as Beacons of Hope for those who are suffering. WellStone’s new crisis diversion facility will serve as a 24/7 stand-alone psychiatric hospital for those experiencing a mental health crisis.
