Author and Huntsville Native Sheryll Cashin Visits HMCPL Monday
Sunday, November 9, 2014
Huntsville native Sheryll Cashin is an author and professor of law at Georgetown University. Her new book, "Place Not Race: A New Vision of Opportunity in America", argues that affirmative action as currently practiced does little to help disadvantaged people and offers a new framework for true inclusion. She’ll be speaking Monday, November 10th at 6:30pm at the Huntsville/Madison County Public Library downtown. Prior to her visit, she spoke with Ginny Kennedy about how changing the college admissions process can benefit students from all economic backgrounds.
