The Public Radio Hour 'Happiness, Sunfish, Hyacinth, Scrooge' (11/29/18)

In this episode of the Public Radio Hour, we continue our year-long mental health series by learning how to better manage our happiness. We’ll hear from riders in Huntsville’s recent Tweed Ride community bicycle ride. Then, Crisis Services of North Alabama counseling program manager Connie Kane drops by to share some resources to help you during the holiday season (find those Help Line numbers below). We’ll also go aquatic to combat a plant invasion on Lake Guntersville and visit Beaverdam Creek Swamp to learn how the habitat of the rare Spring Pygmy Sunfish might be affected by the new Mazda Toyota plant. We’ll also visit with two talented teenagers from Lee High School, won the Regional Poetry Outloud competition. And we'll get in the holiday spirit with Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater and a radio performance of a scene from A Christmas Carol, running November 30th through December 9th at the VBC Playhouse.
