Shakey Graves, the moniker of Austin-born Alejandro Rose-Garcia. Rose-Garcia, plays their style of a combination of blues, folk, country, and rock and roll, having long crafted unique fan experiences, from hand-decorated CDs to intricate scavenger hunts.

In his latest album, Movie of the Week, he introduces a groundbreaking concept: a website allowing fans to shuffle alternate tracks and create personalized albums. "Imagination is the tool," he says.

This innovation empowers fans to sculpt his music into something uniquely their own, fostering a collaborative experience.

The Episcopal Church of the Nativity presents A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols on Sunday December 22nd, beginning with an organ recital played by Jillian Gardner at 6:30pm. This service includes anthems by Kenneth Leighton, Sally Beamish, Paul Edwards and others, interspersed with familiar Advent and Christmas carols, and scripture. This service is open to the public. The Friends of Wheeler Refuge presents the 13th annual Festival of the Cranes at the Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge, January 10th through the 12th. The public is invited to this three-day event that features a concert, special presentations, children's activities, and of course thousands of Sandhill cranes and maybe a few Whooping cranes around the Visitor Center. The Huntsville Traditional Music Association will have a coffeehouse event on Wednesday, January 15, 6:30pm at Lowe Mill Studio space #1038. Jerry LeCroy will open, followed by The Ronnie Knight Band, featuring Ronnie Knight, John Lott and Mike Roberts. The event is funded by a grant from Arts Huntsville. Registration is now open for the 2025 A.I. Symposium at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center. This three-day event presented by the Space Camp Institute takes place January 28 through 30 and looks at artificial intelligence and the topic Autonomous versus HITL (Human in the Loop) and its use across several industries. Do you need more adventure in your life? The Make-A-Wish Trailblaze Challenge is what you’re looking for. Participants will hike 26.3 miles in one life-changing day on the Pinhoti Trail after completing a 12-week training program. The public is invited to attend information sessions during the month of January across the state of Alabama.
