Part of the 2024 Alabama Colloquium series, this event features an in-depth conversation between Grammy-winning musicians and songwriters Brittany Howard and Jason Isbell. The duo will be recognized as Alabama Humanities Fellows for their powerful storytelling -- that challenges us all to think, to empathize, and to explore what it means to be human. Howard and Isbell will be presented their awards by Patterson Hood, another legendary north Alabama musician and songwriter.

This event is a benefit for the Alabama Humanities Alliance, a nonprofit and nonpartisan organization that provides public humanities programming and grant opportunities statewide.
