Participants will hike 26.3 miles in one life-changing day on the Pinhoti Trail after completing a 12-week training program. Madison County CAJA supports community members to advocate for abused and neglected children in the juvenile court system. CAJA volunteers independently investigate cases and advocate for the needs of children until they are placed in a safe, permanent home. The next volunteer training begins on February 6 2025. On Saturday, February 8th, at the VBC, the Greater Huntsville Humane Society presents the 35th annual Dog Ball! The Ball raises money to help covre the cost of caring for disadvantaged animals in our area. It's that time of year! The Tennessee Valley Community Garden Association is excited to bring back the annual community Seed Swap on Friday February 14th at 6pm at the Church of the Nativity's Ridley Hall in downtown Huntsville. You can bring seeds that you’ve saved to share, and also take new seeds home for this year’s garden. Also come hear a special presentation from the Feral Forager. The U.S. Space & Rocket Center’s INTUITIVE Planetarium is partnering with internationally recognized violinist Itamar Zorman for Music of the Spheres, a Valentine’s Day evening under the stars. Zorman will perform celestial works paired with stunning visuals in the planetarium’s 67-foot dome.
