APT Division Director – Radio (Full-Time)
Alabama Public Television (APT) is seeking a full-time Division Director for our public radio station, WLRH 89.3 FM/HD in Huntsville, AL. This position will oversee the 24- hour operations and technical management of WLRH, contributing to its mission of informing, inspiring, and fostering connections within the Tennessee Valley.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all operational and technical aspects of keeping 3 radio channels on-air 24 hours per day in compliance with state and federal broadcasting guidelines.
Manage all fundraising activities, including membership drives, corporate supportcontracts, special fundraising events, and on-air revenue building efforts.
Set and manage program scheduling on WLRH’s three channels.
Supervise all WLRH staff to include performance evaluations, technical training, and employee scheduling.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in any major
Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in management of a radio station to include two (2) years of supervisory experience
