Radio Program Producer (Part-Time)
Alabama Public Television’s (APT) licensee WLRH Public Radio in Huntsville, Alabama is seeking a part-time Radio Program Producer (5-20 hours per week). APT is the nation’s first public broadcasting network, nationally recognized as a leader in education. WLRH is Alabama’s original public radio station with deep ties to the diverse cultural communities of the Tennessee Valley.
Qualifications include high school diploma or GED and six (6) months of ‘on-air’ experience in broadcasting, print, or digital media. Responsibilities include serving as local host for weekend programming, and a backup host for other programs. This position also creates content to support WLRH’s original programming, and participates in membership activities, including fund drives and WLRH-hosted community events. Computer skills are required. Experience with Google Suite, Adobe Audition, Zetta, Composer, FTP and other broadcast-related programs is heavily preferred. Scheduling is flexible and requires (at minimum) Friday afternoons at WLRH.
