Ryan “R.L.” Terry

Ryan L. Terry joins WLRH as host of Tennessee Valley Mornings, bringing a background that spans higher education, public media, communications, and film criticism. Terry most recently served as General Manager of WKGC Public Media in Panama City, Florida, where he led the station through a period of significant transition while developing new local programming and community-focused content.

Prior to his work in public radio, he spent nearly a decade teaching film studies, screenwriting, and media courses at the University of Tampa. A longtime film critic and commentator, Terry runs the blog R.L. Terry ReelView and hosts the radio and podcast show ReelTalk. Through his media outlets, he has extensively covered film criticism, media, and popular culture since 2014. He is also the author of the forthcoming book Monsters, Madness, and Mayhem: Why People Love Horror. At WLRH, he leads Tennessee Valley Mornings and contributes to the station’s local programming and community engagement efforts.
