“Music in the Country” to feature Haydn and Ravel in the Old Bethel Church in Prospect, Tennessee

Dr Stan Trimble visited Morning Blend to talk about the Sunday, October 26 concert entitled “Music in the Country”. The Blair String Quartet will present a program of Haydn, Frank and Ravel at 2:30 pm in the Old Bethel Church in Prospect TN.  Just minutes from Huntsville over the Tennessee state line, the old Victorian Gothic church features stunning stained glass windows and pleasing acoustic properties for chamber music.  Dr Trimble also talked about his home, Tulip Hill, in southern Tennessee, and his extensive landscaping in the English Garden Style.  He has created a geographical homage to American composers of all styles of music, with meadows, forests, ponds–even a ruin created from elements of an old antebellum home!
