Feeding Food-Insecure Families by the Barrel

The Morgan County and Decatur city Community will join forces over the next month to share the love with their food-insecure neighbors, working to stamp out hunger with the Barrels of Love event. From 8 a.m. to noon on Friday, February 14, folks in the Tennessee Valley are invited to stop at Ingall’s Harbor to pick up boxes and/or barrels to fill with non-perishable food items benefiting the Salvation Army, Committee on Church Cooperation and backpack feeding programs for Decatur City and Morgan County Schools. Participants will return their filled receptacles March 6 between 8 a.m. and noon. You can get even more details here:
