The 22nd annual Cigar Box Guitar Festival returns to Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment and The Orion Amphitheater May 29–31 for a three-day celebration of music, creativity, and community.

This year’s festival includes concerts, builder workshops, beginner and advanced lessons, a screening of the Alabama PBS documentary Songs Inside the Box, Q&As, food trucks, local vendors, and family activities. Featured performers include Gary Nichols and the Fame Gang, Lindy Urban, Box of Smoke, Mike Roberts and Friends, and more.

Most events are free, with donations benefiting the Microwave Dave Music Foundation. The festival’s only ticketed event is the Sunday evening concert at The Orion Amphitheater featuring Gary Nichols and the Fame Gang.
