Alex Hall

On-Air Host and Program Producer

Alex Hall joined WLRH 89.3 FM/HD originally as a part time live on-air host for Morning Edition. After the launch of Tennessee Valley Mornings, Alex switched to hosting and producing The Curiosity Squad, currently airing on Mondays at 4pm on HD1 with a repeat on Saturdays at 3pm on HD3. Alex is passionate about creating homegrown programming that explores geek culture, curiosity, science, nature and innovation. You can also hear her hosting the weekend afternoon and evenings through pre-recorded segments and producing news and local interest stories for Tennessee Valley Mornings.

Alex’s first job was at the BBC but her career took her away from TV and radio to working with major organizations like NASA, Google, and Uber, as well as nonprofits advancing space and science education. After more than 20 years away from broadcasting, she’s excited to return to public radio to help spark curiosity and serve the community.

When not behind a mic, Alex currently serves as President of the Von Braun Astronomical Society and is an occasional member of the Huntsville Master Chorale. She continues to provide consultant services to science centers, museums and planetariums as well as run a STEM education organization based at Campus805.
