Brad Edwards

Host of Terra Beats

I was born in Huntsville, AL, and lived here till the age of 14. My family & I moved to Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands, where I attended high school & graduated in the class of 1994. After Kwajalein, I moved to Hawaii (Big Island), to help caretake some beautiful land in Waipio Valley with my sister & her boyfriend. My sister & I returned to the mainland to Alabama eventually to be with our family & to hike the Appalachian Trail with our parents. We completed the 2,150 mile long trail in six months, hiking from Georgia to Maine. Eventually, I rooted down in Huntsville where I met my amazing wife & best friend, who has blessed my life more than words can express for 28 years. I’ve worked for the Grounds Department at UAH for 12 years, & love all the good friends that I’m blessed to work & be with.

I’ve always been passionate about playing & listening to all music. I started playing keys & drums around the age of eleven, & I especially got into playing percussion & other instruments like the didgeridoo from Australia.

I played in a reggae/funk band called Kine Blaze with some great brothers & sisters for a couple of years.

We released one album called Magic Box, & enjoyed jamming at UAH and a few other venues around Huntsville. Most important of all, I’m a child of God & live to share Christ & his love to all. Excited to be joining the WLRH family & hosting Terra Beats, which features an eclectic mix of great music from all around the world with emphasis on traditional & indigenous songs, chants & rhythms. It’s the pulse of the Earth. Thanks to all, & God bless.😎🤙❤️🙏🎶🎵✝️
