The Curiosity Squad Episode 28 – FIRST Robotics and The Human Exploration Rover Challenge

STEM competitions are a big deal. They involve hundreds of volunteers and impact thousands of students worldwide. Two large ones came to the Rocket City for the same weekend – NASA’s Human Exploration Rover Challenge and FIRST Robotics Rocket City Regionals.  Host Alex Hall was curious about what happens in each of these competitions, as well as what motivates the volunteers to show up and the students to participate. She discovered that building the robots and rovers are only part of the picture.
