National Zoo Lovers Day – April 8

Each year on April 8th, National Zoo Lovers Day encourages us to explore our local zoos and learn about animals, conservation and more. The North Alabama Zoological Society is pursuing a project to build a zoo and aquarium in North Alabama. Currently zoo ambassadors are visiting schools, running camps and more to introduce students of all ages to the activities that could be expected if we get a zoo locally. In this interview, Zoo representative Brittany Ledbetter talks about the hopes, the campaign for funding and their upcoming Kids Festival on May 2nd.
