Remembering Captain Tomas Quin

We are incredibly saddened by the loss of our dear friend, Tomas “Cap” Quin.

Cap joined WLRH as a volunteer producer and host last year, bringing to life his vision for a goth/punk show that would become The Graveyard Shift. The show brought new and classic goth, post-punk, dark wave music, along with interviews, dramatic readings, and more to listeners throughout the Tennessee Valley.

Cap was deeply passionate about sharing this music and culture. He believed in breaking down stigmas surrounding the goth community and creating a space where the goth and punk scene felt welcoming and accessible to all.

Cap was last at the station just last week, recording what would become his final episode of The Graveyard Shift, which will air tonight at 9 p.m. and again Sunday at 9 p.m.
More than anything, Cap was a genuine, kind, and loving person who gave so much to this community. His creativity, warmth, and spirit made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

The world lost a light when it lost him, and he will be deeply missed.
