Alabama STEAM Fest Returns to Huntsville with Free Family STEM Event This October

Alabama STEAM Fest is returning to Huntsville this fall with a new location, expanded exhibits, and even more opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. The free community event will take place October 24 at the Boys & Girls Club’s Frank J. Williams facility, where families can experience interactive exhibits, meet scientists and engineers, explore career pathways, and participate in hands-on STEM activities.

This year’s festival will feature returning favorites like the popular cave simulator, an expanded meteorite collection, dinosaur exhibits, and increased participation from NASA, local universities, and North Alabama technology companies. Organizers also hope to connect students, college attendees, and job seekers with employers and educational institutions that are helping shape the region’s STEM workforce.

Curiosity Squad host Alex Hall speaks with Alabama Science Festival representative Joe Iacuzzo about what’s new for Alabama STEAM Fest, why the event continues to grow, and how this free festival is inspiring curiosity while connecting the community with the future of STEM education and careers.
